With their unique electro-acoustic brand of Krautrock, Dub, Jazz, Hip Hop and Soundscape THE SHREDZ have delivered albums and concerts, exciting home listeners and festival audiences alike. Schaefer, Meitz, Renken and Eckhardt are four strong and sought after musical characters, who joined forces and have been crafting their compelling and distinctive sonic-realm for many years. The band's musical process is entirely based on personal style of collective improvisation that is centered around hypnotic grooves, time and space bending atmospheres and the trance of ensemble playing.
The Shredz also collaborate with light artist Katrin Bethge who is performing on video in real time using analogue materials. Two videos have already been released, see below!
